Description
Travel back in time to the streets of San Francisco from before the great 1906 earthquake. Find historical buildings and structures that survived the shaking and the fires using an old street map from 1906. In your teams of 1 to 5 adventurers, plan your route, visit the historical plaques and markers, and answer simple multiple-choice questions. Go for 90 minutes or 3 hours. Enjoy awesome food and drinks at the finish.

Team Size: 1 to 5
Using your feet or your bike, find the historical checkpoints with the best route you can plan, and answer simple multiple choice questions about the plaques and markers you will find. The map is a 1:35000 scale print of an 1885-1915 USGS map. No updates are provided - part of the challenge is navigating around the changes made over the past 100 years! So much of the street grid is the same, though.

From the East Bay, take the 9th St. / Civic Center exit from I-80. Make a "slight left" onto Harrison St., make a left onto 11th St., then on the next block continue onto Bryant St. Sports Basement will be soon on your right.
From the South Bay, take the Vermont St. exit from US 101. Make a left onto Vermont, take the second left onto 16th St., then make a right onto Bryant St. Sports Basement will soon be on your left.
Public Transit
The 16th St. BART station is half a mile west of the store which is near the corner of 16th and Bryant. SF Muni buses also run nearby.
