2013 Bob & Peg Andrulis Memorial Sweetheart Run & Walk:

The Eleventh Annual Memorial Sweetheart Run & Walk will be held on Saturday February 9, 2013 at the Litchfield Community Center. 
This special family event is organized by the Litchfield Community Center, Inc. and the Village Striders, in memory of Bob & Peg Andrulis, long time community activists and parents of Berta Andrulis Mette, Executive Director of the Community Center.
All proceeds benefit family and youth programs at the Litchfield Community Center.
The five mile run and three mile walk will begin at 11:00 a.m. and all ages are welcome to participate. 
The course follows a route of varied terrain including the scenic roads and trails of the White Memorial Foundation. 
The first 200 registrants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a bag of sweetheart treats at the finish line. 
There will also be a variety of post run & walk refreshments inside the Community Center for all participants and spectators to enjoy. 
Awards will be given to winners of several age divisions, including youth, senior, and first couple prizes. 
Runners World Magazine awarded this event the distinction of Best Schwag in 2008 in recognition of all the amenities offered at the event for participants and spectators. 
Advanced registration fee is $20.00 per person.
Day of registration is $25.00. Cost for children 10 and under is $5 and participants 80 years and older are free.
