2015 Hope, Steps and a Cure 5k:
• Mia Hamm, Oliver Wyss, Krissy Kobata, Lisa Massacani and Mia Stoutenborough, international and local celebrities with a personal connection to bone marrow failure diseases, will run and walk at Hope, Steps & A Cure Los Angeles: aamds.org.
• This will be our fifth annual 5K run at Shoreline Village. We have sponsors providing food and drink: Einstein's and Gatorade and prizes from Brook's Shoes, NIKE and other running supporters.
• Top Male and Female who break last year's records will receive $100. Those times to beat are 18:45:20 for the Male winner and 23:23.60 for the Female.
• Packet Pick-Up and Registration takes place at Runners High in Long Beach, 5338 E. 2nd Street.
• Early Rgistration is $30 for Adults and $20 for Youth 14 and under.
• Late Registration is $35 for Adults and $25 for Youth 14 and under.
• Limited discounts will be available.
• Onsite registration opens at 7:00 am.
• The 5K Run will follow a beautiful route along the Long Beach Shoreline Marina and then north toward the Long Beach Aquarium and back. The path is mostly a broad roadway with scenic views.
• Shoreline Village can be reached via the 710 South.
• Exit left toward Shoreline Drive.
• Follow the signs to Shoreline Village Drive, which will be on the right.
• Parking is $2.00 per hour after 6:00 am.
• Some streeet parking is available.
