2015 Trick or Trot to Benefit Girls on the Run of Southeastern, CT
Girls on the Run of Southeastern Connecticut is proud to host the 3rd annual Trick or Trot on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10 AM at Bluff Point State Park.
The 3.5 mile fun run will be timed by Snerro, with prizes awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers. At 10:15 AM, we will be having a 1/2 mile kid's fun run. Join us for a great fall morning filled with Halloween fun, games and food! Prizes will also be awarded to those who show up in the best costume!
Girls on the Run of Southeastern Connecticut is an Independent Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a networ...k of 200+ locations across the United States and Canada. More than just a running program, GOTR uses an innovative curriculum that addresses the unique developmental stages of girls in grades 3-8. The fun, experienced based program combines training for a 5K event with interactive lessons that encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development. GOTR of SECT held it's first session in North Stonington in Spring 2014, with 15 girls. The program was a huge success! All proceeds from this event will go towards the council and their programming.
The 3.5 mile timed course is a loop through wooded trails. The kid's fun run is a .5 mile out and back. There will be no access to water on the course due to vehicle restrictions but will be available at the finish. Strollers are welcome but must start at the back.
