2016 Savin Rock Marathon & Half Marathon ~ Results

2016 Savin Rock Marathon & Half Marathon:

Our 6th Annual event includes the Marathon, Half Marathon and 2-Person Marathon Relay (The relay exchange is at the Half Marathon point, at the start/finish.) 

USATF CERTIFIED COURSE #CT15002JHP.  BOSTON MARATHON QUALIFIER

The race will be held on Saturday March 19, 2016 at 8:00am. 

About 1/3 of the course is along Long Island Sound.

Aid stations every 2 miles begining at Mile 2.5 stocked with Poland Spring Water, Gatorade & GU.

The Savin Rock Conference Center hosts registration, bathrooms (plus porto-lets), awards, etc. Plenty of parking.

Transponder Timing and Results plus your friends and family can track your progress on Facebook and Twitter as you cross miles 7.5, 13.1, 20.5 and 26.2.  Results emailed to you right after the race. 

Great post-race food.

Great Goodie-Bags and tech shirts (male and female cut.)

Custom finisher medals & custom awards to the top 3 in every division and Overall Winners.

*Shirts, Medals and Awards will be different for the Marathon and Half Marathon. 

Marathon Relay: Both runners will get shirts, medals and goodies.

Time cutoffs:
Half Marathon = 3:30
Marathon = 6:30

THIS RACE SELLS OUT EVERY YEAR. 
THERE WILL BE NO RACEDAY REGISTRATION. 
THERE WILL BE PACKET PICKUP ON RACEDAY FOR PRE-REGISTERED ENTRANTS.

You may transfer to another person until 2/29/2016 via active.com.
There will be NO TRANSFERS AFTER THAT FOR ANY REASON.
BUYING AND SELLING BIBS IS NEVER ALLOWED.  PEOPLE WHO BUY AND SELL BIBS WILL BE BANNED AND DISQUALIFIED.

7:45am: Packet Pickup Closes.
8:00am: Marathon & Half Marathon Starts
9:15am: First finishers for the Half Marathon
10:00am: Half Marathon Awards
10:30am: First finishers for the Marathon
11:15am: Marathon Awards (plus the balance of the Half Marathon Awards)
11:30am: Final Finishers of the Half Marathon
1:00pm: More Marathon Awards
2:15pm: Balance of Marathon Awards
2:30pm: Final Marathon Finishers (6:30 cutoff)
3:00pm: Race venue empty and closed.
