Social Distancing – Runners Should Be More Than 2 Meters Apart

  • New study shows that following in the slipstream of another puts runners at risk of COVID-19.
  • 2 Meters is an ok distance when only jogging, but with increased speed the danger rises. And running directly behind creates the greatest danger. this is because of the dynamics of the slipstream.
  • So be extra careful when running outside with friends, or when approaching strangers from behind. Especially at higher speeds. Runners should maintain reasonable distance of 20 feet or more when moving in a straight line.
